The original acrylic painting of “New Beginnings” by Floyd E. Hosmer is the first official painting completed and reproduced by Hosmer Studio and Gallery for collegiate sales.  It captures the rich architectural design qualities of Auburn University’s famous Samford Hall and represents the first taste of Auburn as one sees when driving into campus.  The sunset, or sunrise, is the representation of a new beginning by the students who are both arriving for their college career, and who are leaving as graduates to spread their wings as professionals.  With an interesting addition, the clock tower shows the hands on the clock set to 10:17 representing the score of Alabama 10, Auburn 17 from the 2007 Iron Bowl.
